OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION HISTORY

Datin Dr. Hajah Sabariah Faridah’s interest in early childhood education started when she was working as a volunteer teacher at an Islamic English kindergarten in Ottawa while she was a Chemistry student at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Since then, she plays an active role in helping entrepreneurs, associations, and communities to open Islamic kindergartens in Malaysia.

With the Grace of Allah, in January 2003, Datin Dr. Hjh Sabariah Faridah and her husband, Datuk Haji Roslan Nordin finally founded their own

kindergarten. The name given to the new kindergarten was Little Caliphs Kindergarten, but due to the naming rules of the Ministry of Education, the name could not be used. Instead, the kindergarten was named Tadika Rama Rama Bistari.

Backed by her many years of active training and consultancy on early childhood education, the founders used the new kindergarten as a platform to design, develop, and test a new pre-school program, namely The Little Caliphs Program®.

Continuous research and development, courses attended, hands-on involvements, feedback from parents, students, and staff, visits to other kindergartens all over the world, and most importantly, inspiration from Allah S.W.T. – all of these have contributed to the development of TLCP.

In this husband and wife synergy, Haji Roslan Nordin plays the role as business author of TLCP while Hajjah Sabariah Faridah as the academic author. The Little Caliphs Program® was originally marketed by ILM Marketing since 2003. Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 6th of January 2010 marking the founders’ plan to market TLCP into the international arena.

SCREENING FAQ

Who can participate in this screening?

Children that has reached the age of 3, 4 & 5 years old on the screening date.

  • The provider, TOYEIGHT is developing this service in collaboration with Malaysia’s top universities and specialists.
  • The developmental milestones are based on prior assessments from around the world.
  • This screening has already collected over 9,000 data points in Malaysia.

We will store the data for analysis purposes to create your child’s report.  If you do not wish to receive the report, the data will be deleted.  TOYEIGHT has implemented security policies and technical measures to protect your personal data in accordance with such requirements of the applicable personal data protection laws and regulations.

No, as 90% of the child’s brain neural development completes before 6 yrs old, it is suggested to take screening as early as possible.

The screening session will be conducted either in English or Malay, depending on the child’s preference.

Each screening session will take about 15-20 minutes.  The questionnaire answered by parents takes about 10 minutes.

The report will be issued about 7 to 10 business days after the questionnaire has been answered.

  2. Kita guna device/alat khas untuk anak bermain dengannya. Nanti alat tu yg akan bercakap dgn anak, guru kami hanya pantau saja proses itu berjalan. Sangat interaktif, Puan, macam anak main game menggunakan telefon.
  3. Proses ni ambil masa 15-20 min bergantung kpd mcm mana anak tu respons pada alat berkenaan.

Our screening is done by age, not class.

So, boleh offer utk 6 years, tapi bagi statement of disclaimer begini.

Apa yg kami jalan kan ini ialah Developmental Screening, iaitu utk kami observe adakah anak ini develop mengikut milestone yg sepatutnya. Therefore, seboleh bolehnya, anak2 ini perlu lalui proses assessment itu sendiri without being influenced by the presence of their parents or teachers.

Tapi puan jgn risau, selain dari gambar yg kami akan beri nanti.. ada juga a set of questionnaire yg puan perlu isi on behalf of anak puan. Baru lah the process can be completed.

Jawapan 1 :

Masya Allah, terima kasih puan. Utk bayaran sekejap ya sy add dlm bill orbit billing dulu.

Dah ramai nanti sy set masa dalam mid May kalau takda halangan.

Puan perlu masukkan D.O,B dalam format begini

contoh D.OB: 12/2/2024

perlu key in 12022024

Allow me to further check with the project admin and get back to you as soon as I can.

Action for Principal: Please contact the respective screener regarding the date of birth entered during the screening process, as it may have been entered incorrectly.

Take note:  Report only be generated with the D.O.B that has been entered during the screening process.

Answer : Let me check with the screener first, when is her next available date to come for the screening. I will update u as soon as possible. (Then check dgn screener)

Jawapan:

Need Tc iQa input. Due to screening tak complete, Kak Ayu akan advise kita return duit / contra off with fee bulan depan.  Cumanya macam mana cara untuk Principal inform Parents untuk berjumpa dgn pakar. Something mcm yg Tc Fariza can do, come out with an observation report.

Tc iQa : Tugas screener ialah utk accommodate / facilitate the screening session utk anak tu. If she cannot make the student sit and undergo the session, then she has to give feedback to the principal that the session cannot be done because of that. The principal is then, responsible for updating the parents.

Principal : Salam puan, hari ni tadi kami cuba jalan kan sesi screening utk XXX jam 11am.

1) kita tangguhkan dulu sesi ini on the assumption that XXX tak biasa dengan screener tersebut. Kita cuba lagi minggu depan / 2 minggu lagi / bulan depan.

Have you completed the questionnaire for the parents? By right, the screening report will be released 7–10 days after parents complete the questionnaire via email. If you have not received it within this timeframe, please contact your respective principal to raise the concern.

Action required by Principal: Please contact the FITRA Admin (Kak Ayu) for further assistance.

Possible reasons include:

  • Parents have not yet responded to the questionnaire
  • The parents provide a wrong / typo email address
  • A technical issue may have prevented the report from being delivered via email

Take note, screener akan di-assign by Project Admin (Kak Ayu), bukan dipilih by Principal, tetapi screener pasti akan perform screening untuk kindy masing-masing.

MORE FAQ

Yuran pendaftaran berapa?

RM40 off per month untuk the elder sibling.

Tetapi jika tidak, maka pendaftaran baru perlu dibuat dengan melalui proses request for refund and registration.

Masih sempat utk catch up lagi.
